This is a tea you can steep endlessly without worry.

It’s one of Celestial Seasonings’ best offerings, built on familiar herbs like chamomile, spearmint, and lemongrass. While the blend doesn’t introduce anything dramatically new, it has remained a constant in my tea orders for years.

One of the unique aspects of Celestial Seasonings is their commitment to the environment, reflected in their bulk packaging. Every part of the packaging, including the box, is made from biodegradable materials. While this eco-friendly approach is admirable, it does come with a few inconveniences—since the seal isn't airtight, you need to drink the tea within the best-by date to preserve freshness. Additionally, the teabags come without strings, which can be a bit annoying unless you use a clip.

🍡

Despite these small drawbacks, I’ve continued buying their teas for over 10 years. The reason is simple: their teas are all-natural, with no preservatives, and even the fragrances are derived from natural sources. You can truly taste the essence of the raw ingredients.

Today, I brewed a cup of Sleepytime, a blend of calming chamomile and soothing spearmint. While it’s not as fast-acting as a sleeping pill, my mother, who often tosses and turns at night, noticed she sleeps more comfortably since drinking this tea regularly.

Inspired by her experience, I’ve tried several variations of Sleepytime, including Vanilla and Extra, but the classic remains my favorite.

As an herbal infusion, you can steep it in hot or boiling water for as long as you like. Just be mindful that steeping too long might cause the bulk bags to swell, leaving some leaves floating in your cup.

🍡

The tea itself has a clean, light color, with a hint of sweetness from the spearmint that complements the chamomile. It doesn’t have the sharp, cooling sensation you might expect from mint but instead offers a subtly sweet and refreshing taste—best described as a soothingly sweet chamomile.

Celestial Seasonings is a U.S.-based brand known for its commitment to sustainability and fair production practices. They offer a wide range of herbal teas, as well as black and green teas. Since their herbal teas are caffeine-free, you can enjoy a peaceful cup anytime, day or night.
