The mango aroma is incredible.

It smells as if you've just sliced into a ripe mango— fresh, sweet, and vibrant.

It's not that artificial fragrance that can sometimes be off-putting, but a true, natural mango scent. It's so sweet and refreshing that it feels like you're cutting into an actual mango.

🍂

Basilur is a Sri Lankan tea brand known for its high-quality Ceylon tea , and you can see the certified Ceylon logo on the back of their tea bags. This brand doesn't just produce the tea leaves; They handle the entire process, from production to packaging, ensuring their products meet their strict quality standards.

Aside from mango and pineapple, this tea also features passion fruit and apple. However, the mango is so dominant that it overshadows the other ingredients. No matter how much you try to catch a hint of apple or passion fruit, all you get is the intense mango aroma.

🍂

I couldn't help but hope that this rich, vivid scent would translate into the flavor of the tea itself. Often, I find that flavored black teas can fall short, with the fragrance not quite matching the taste. So, discovering a truly flavorful tea is always a delight.

As I steeped the tea, I noticed that the leaves are finely processed, meaning they brew much faster than whole-leaf teas. Be mindful of the steeping time to avoid over-extraction and achieve your desired flavor.

🍂

As the tea brewed, the initial scent was exactly like the mango aroma from the tea bag, and soon after, the pineapple fragrance began to emerge. Even though it's a flavored black tea, the natural notes of the fruit mix pleasantly with the Ceylon base, without feeling too artificial. The color of the tea was beautiful as well.

When I took my first sip, I was momentarily thrown off by the artificial edge to the fruit flavor, but the finish pleasantly surprised me. As I swallowed, the fruit flavor faded, leaving behind the smooth, clean taste of pure Ceylon tea.

🍂

There's no lingering heaviness. The blend of fruit and tea leaves a soft impression in your mouth, with a clean finish. After Fortnum & Mason's Strawberry Tea, this was the first fruit-flavored black tea I found myself enjoying more and more with each cup. Interestingly, as I continued drinking, the pineapple started to stand out more than the mango.

The strong mango impression fades after the initial steep, and as you progress through your tea time, pineapple becomes the star of Basilur's Mango & Pineapple tea. By the last sip, the tangy sweetness of the pineapple is unmistakably stronger.

This tea is packed with a refreshing summer flavor that would be fantastic served iced.
